Your Course Leader: Annabelle Rankin


Annabelle has 25 years experience of teaching and healing. Her courses embrace understanding of perennial and spiritual philosophies, and she draws from knowledge of archtypes and personal growth in her classes.


Annabelle recently acquired a post-graduate qualification in 'arts for change' gives individual sessions as a reader, and blends oils and incenses to be used for transformational purposes.

Good Karma - Arts and Spirituality

This course of ten sessions is composed of creative steps that help transform negative karma by forging a link to Peace within. The ladder of the chakras and the processes of alchemy are our implicit guides, and our purposes include relaxing tension and moving blocks through creative visualisation, discussion and arts activities. All lead to personal discovery and reflection.

This course content draws from sources of wisdom such as Taoism, Zen and Jungian Psychology, and is an enjoyable way to experience profound matters in a personal context. Participants are encouraged to contribute and express themselves in a supportive environment as they encounter shadow-beliefs and gain insight into their individual situations.

Course sessions include activities (no expertise is needed) such as drawing, painting,collage,clay modelling and use of the sandtray - all that helps each of us break and transcend habitual patterns, so that we can affirm we have good karma!

This course, of 10 sessions, is both an introduction and an in-depth look at the Tarot, covering many perspectives, and are helpful for understanding the cards for study and giving readings

Traditional, psychological and archetypal meanings will be given, and practical experience of interpretation of various layouts included in each class.
Wherever appropriate, spiritual philosophies will be discussed and meditative techniques included. This is a fascinating course that offers a new interest with links to other disciplines such as clairvoyance, astrology, cabbala and numerology.

Explore the necessity and effect of stillness in various forms and mediums. The Taoist and Zen approach will be referred to, as well as the Japanese concepts of wabi (desolate beauty, non-attachment) and sabi (impermanence, imperfection). References to timelessness and momentary bliss or "otherness" and diverse literature and art will be included. How does movement and noise relate to stillness? What prevents us from being still?

Using the Cabbalistic Tree of Life as a source and reference, teaching and experimental activities put participants in touch with aspects of themselves. The 'Tree' is the system behind the Tarot cards. The spheres and paths are representations of (and contact points to) the sources behind creation. Universal tree symbolism and links with Tarot and Astrology are also covered.
